The Song Room’s New Ambassador Team Champion Arts Education for Every Child

The Song Room proudly announces our new ambassador team, bringing together three of Australia’s most respected creative voices — trials, Ali McGregor and L‑FRESH The LION — to champion equitable access to arts education for every child.

Each Ambassador brings a powerful combination of artistic excellence, lived experience and deep commitment to young people. Together, they will help amplify The Song Room’s mission to ensure all children — regardless of postcode, background or circumstance — can access the life‑changing benefits of arts learning.

Meet the Ambassadors

trials — Musician, Producer, Mentor

trials is an award‑winning producer and artist with multiple Platinum and Gold records and four ARIA Awards. He is a celebrated rapper, songwriter and producer who is also the Music Creator leading The Song Room’s The Bridge in South Australia.

“Music gave me the voice I needed to sound like myself,” said trials. “The Bridge is about standing together to guarantee the next generation finds that same freedom. Opportunities are everything when you’re young and I’m proud to pass on everything I’ve learned to ensure every door I’ve opened along the way stays open for them.”

Ali McGregor — Performer, Curator, Creative Leader

Ali McGregor is a celebrated soprano, festival director and creative force whose career spans opera, cabaret and contemporary performance. Known for her artistic versatility and leadership, Ali brings a strong advocacy voice for creativity, wellbeing and access. Ali is also a Director on The Song Room Board.

Her passion for arts education is grounded in a belief that every child deserves the chance to explore, imagine and express themselves — not just those with access to specialist programs.

L‑FRESH The LION — Artist, Advocate, Cultural Leader

L‑FRESH The LION is regarded as one of Australia’s most important hip hop artists, known for his powerful work across music, advocacy and community. His practice spans performance, writing, cultural leadership and creative facilitation, with a strong focus on identity, belonging and the transformative impact of the arts.
