The Song Room’s arts and wellbeing programs take place in schools in weekly sessions utilising an inclusive, trauma-informed and strengths-based approach. Through explicit social and emotional learning students develop confidence, self-awareness, self-management and responsible decision making, while increasing their sense of belonging and school pride.

An evidence-based educational design supports diverse and vulnerable students using sequential, curriculum-aligned arts learning. Sessions range from individual and small groups to whole school projects. Programs are tailored to the school and timetabled collaboratively.

The Song Room’s arts and wellbeing program is also on the Victorian Schools Mental Health Menu with funding available for Victorian Government primary schools to access the program as part of the Schools Mental Health Fund. Find out more.
