Hayley was surprised by legendary rocker Sarah McLeod, who visited her school to announce the nomination.
Hayley has created a record label within her school to help students connect and create. Her program opens industry pathways, providing students a safe space to shape their identity and nurture resilience, while building emotional maturity and self-expression.
Nathaniel met with Jessica Mauboy, chart-topping songstress, who gave him the good news.
Inspiring students and the community in remote Northern Territory, Nathaniel is helping to keep Language alive. His program connects the community to teach endangered languages through music. Using song as a tool to engage students in their learning, he empowers future generations.
Susan was joined by children’s entertainer Emma Memma to celebrate her nomination.
Susan has taught music for forty years, and for over twenty of them she has run a massive music festival held at the Sydney Opera House. Engaging 5,000 students and teachers every year, her work brings together families and communities.
Casey and her students were joined by singer-songwriter, Meg Mac, to acknowledge her achievements.
For two decades, Casey has been making a strong and lasting impact on the lives of her students, inspiring them to develop a lifelong love of music. She believes in the power of singing to express individuality, connect, and support the community.
