Sports Education & Development Australia partners with The Song Room
Sports Education & Development Australia, Arena Theatre Company and the Song Room are proud to announce the launch of the SEDA Arts Development Program for 2013. The program will offer students the opportunity to combine their passion for live audio/visual production with an exciting educational pathway.
The SEDA Arts Development Program will see SEDA arts students gain valuable, practical experience, by firstly assisting The Song Room’s Teaching Artists and Programs Team to devise and develop large scale multi-disciplinary arts productions, before preparing materials and coaching children for performances, and assisting in every phase of the event production itself, including sets, staging, stage management, lighting and live sound. The students will offer a wonderful enhancement to The Song Room’s suite of tailored music and arts programs, whilst providing them with a valuable education opportunity.
The SEDA Arts Development Program consists of a challenging theoretical and practical curriculum integrated into the Performing Arts Industry. Students have the opportunity to complete their Year 11 and 12 and a Diploma of Live Production, Theatre and Events (Technical Production) then follow a pathway to further study or the workforce.
