About Song Room Programs
A Song Room program offers school leaders an effective, evidence-based solution to improve student outcomes, upskill teachers, and nurturing an inclusive, connected school community. Teachers are supported by Teaching Artists throughout with planning, in-class modelling and professional development. Plus, The Song Room timetables collaboratively, so it is easy to integrate the program into your school’s plans.
Popular Song Room programs include:
- In-Class programs – Our Teaching Artists bring their arts education expertise into the classroom, working alongside classroom teachers to deliver high-quality, curriculum-aligned arts programs
- Arts and Wellbeing programs – Qualified arts learning experts, including teachers and arts, music and play therapists, use arts learning to teach social and emotional skills to support student wellbeing and learning.
- First Nations programs – Local First Nations artists lead students and their school communities in shared arts experiences to learn about and value the richness of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander knowledge, cultures and histories.
- Professional Learning – Teachers gain the confidence and skills to bring the arts into their everyday teaching practice through tailored workshops and programs designed and delivered by arts learning experts.
- Community projects – Teaching Artists facilitate collaborative creative projects to connect students, teachers, parents, and the broader school community, strengthening school cultures and student belonging.
