A Partnership That Rocks
JB Hi-Fi has been one of The Song Room’s loudest and proudest champions contributing over $4 million in support since 2008.
As a founding charity of their Helping Hands workplace giving program, The Song Room has received $2.9 million from their incredible team to support our work — half donated directly by generous staff and matched by JB Hi-Fi.
This is no ordinary partnership. It’s powered by passion, creativity and a deep belief in the life-changing power of the arts of by over 6,000 JB Hi-Fi staff.
The staff were the driving force behind our award-winning PlayAir campaign, selling “Air Instruments” in stores to raise funds for real music education in schools. They embraced the campaign with true rock star energy, forming air bands, dressing up and throwing themselves into fundraising.
In 2024, as The Song Room celebrated 25 years, JB Hi-Fi marked its own 50th anniversary. They celebrated with the 50 Favours campaign, designed to provide 50 acts of impact to community partners in their 50th year. As part of this initiative, they donated product and JB Hi-Fi staff generously volunteered their time, photographing our Big Days of Learning in Bankstown and Geelong and rattling tins at our Sister Act fundraiser at Melbourne’s Regent Theatre.
This partnership is based on more than strategic alignment. We are truly embedded in each other’s culture and share a genuine experience of the impact that creativity and the arts can have on young peoples’ lives. Together, we’re helping children to learn, create and thrive at school. Thank you, JB Hi-Fi!
