Introducing The Song Room’s 2021 Year in Review

We are excited to share our story of impact and growth in The Song Room’s new 2021 Year in Review. Thanks to the commitment and ambition of our team, partnering schools and funding partners, we are able to tell a positive story in 2021. Given the circumstances, this is an enormous effort.

In 2021, despite school disruptions and border closures, we increased the number of participating schools, teachers, Teaching Artists. And most importantly, we also increased the number of students taking part in our arts learning programs. The quality of our programs was high, and we continued to test ourselves as we strive for greater impact. We were also able to develop a new strategy, setting our path for future success.

From this solid position we persist in our mission to address education inequity across the country. With student wellbeing and gaps in learning at crisis point due to the pandemic, providing children with the opportunity to heal, learn and reach their potential is vital. Our role in their recovery could not be clearer.

The Year in Review showcases our hard work and the impact of our united effort at a critical time for young people in communities experiencing disadvantage, and we couldn’t be prouder. It is designed to provide our friends and supporters with an overview of what we have been able to achieve as a committed learning community.
