PlayAir is back in 2014
Can you PlayAir?
That’s right, The Song Room’s PlayAir competition is NOW OPEN for another year.
“Music means a language that anyone anywhere can understand”, says Clare Bowditch.
Yet approximately three in four Australian children have no access to specialist music education at school, and nothing but ‘air’ to play.
So for the next six weeks people across Australia can get to their local JB Hi Fi store and purchase a PlayAir Air Instrument in a national fundraising campaign to support The Song Room, deliver vital music and arts education and development programs to children across Australia. There’s also three $1,000 JB Hi Fi shopping sprees to be won!
With a line up of well respected Australian musicians supporting the campaign, PlayAir highlights the huge number of children from disadvantaged and marginalised communities who have little or no access to music or art programs and materials despite the significant benefits gained.
“Music has helped me connect with people and find friendships,” says Gossling.
JB Hi-Fi CEO, Richard Murray said: “JB Hi-Fi is proud to be a supporter of The Song Room’s PlayAir campaign for the third year. Music in education has proven to be very important for personal development, and this year we hope to sell 75,000 Air Instruments Australia wide to spread the message and provide music programs to kids in need”.
By purchasing an Air Instrument you can help put a real one in the hands of a child who needs it.
