Western Sydney schools showcase their talentsThis year, two TSR Inter-School’s Performance Events were held in Each of the current Song Room program schools were given the opportunity to showcase their talents by presenting a short performance piece, which was led by their Song Room Teaching Artist. This provided an opportunity for over 600 students to present the work were involved with in their Song Room programs. The first Performance event was held at the Joan Sutherland Performing Arts Centre in Penrith and included a professional performance from Shaun Parker and the Teenagers of Western Sydney titled The Yard. The Yard is a collaborative project between nationally renowned choreographer Shaun Parker and teenagers from schools across The second event moved to the South West of Sydney and was held at the Camden Civic Centre, where students and teachers were treated to a performance by the Murray Raine Puppets!
