The Song Room Choir shows its True Colours! Education Week 2008, BMW Edge

Education Week’s theme of Learn, Thrive and Grow came alive when over 300 children from 9 disadvantaged primary schools come together in a wonderful celebration of singing, dancing and percussion at BMW Edge, Federation Square, Melbourne.

Each school performed their own unique program to the assembled audience and then came together to form The Song Room Choir and perform Cindy Lauper’s True Colours, accompanied by one of Australia’s best and most versatile guitarists and composers, Doug De Vries.

The participating schools came from diverse geography and backgrounds including Abbotsford, Ballam Park, Kingsbury, Westall, Clayton South, Sacred Heart Fitzroy, Sacred Heart St Albans, Debney Meadows and Richmond West Primary Schools.

Doug De Vries and Song Room Teaching Artist, Virgina Bott lead the talented children in song at the Education Week performance, BMW Edge.
