The Song Room Launch in the Northern Territory

The Song Room was pleased to announce in July 2007 the launch of its unique, innovative programs in the Northern Territory at a luncheon hosted by Minister Chris Natt at Parliament House, Darwin.

With the wonderful support it has received from Rio Tinto Aboriginal Fund, Australian Energy Developments, Australian Performing Rights Association (APRA), Westpac Foundation and the Federal Government’s National Community Crime Prevention Program, The Song Room will partner with Barkly Group Schools to deliver its innovative programs to children in five remote communities in the Barkly Region. It is also launching a program at Gunbalanya in Arnhem Land to promote improved learning outcomes and enhanced social and personal skills.
